Rehawalk-Gait-Analysis

Description

The Zebris ReWalk® system is a comprehensive rehabilitation tool designed specifically for analyzing and treating gait disorders in patients undergoing neurologic, orthopaedic, or geriatric rehabilitation. It consists of several components that work together to provide effective therapy.
The system incorporates a treadmill as a fundamental part of the rehabilitation process. Patients can walk or perform gait exercises in a controlled environment. Additionally, the system includes a unit that projects gait patterns onto the treadmill’s surface, providing visual cueing to guide patients and help them maintain a proper gait.
Virtual feedback training is provided through a large monitor mounted in front of the treadmill. Patients receive instructions, prompts, or real-time visualizations to aid them in their therapy. This feedback is designed to assist patients in achieving a safe and effective gait.
An optional module is available for analyzing stance and balance. It assesses a patient’s stability and offers specific training exercises to improve balance if needed. The Rehawalk® system is adaptable to each patient’s capabilities, providing challenges tailored to their abilities.
Automation of motion sequences is a key feature of the system. It allows for a high number of step repetitions while ensuring patient safety by providing protection against falling. This automation also unloads additional weight from the patient’s body during therapy.
The system includes easy-to-operate software that automatically documents the patient’s treatment progress. Healthcare professionals can track the course of treatment and evaluate the patient’s improvement over time using in-depth evaluation reports.
For enhanced analysis, an optional integrated lighting and camera unit can be added. This allows for the recording of kinematic parameters and video documentation, providing additional visual data for assessment and review.
In summary, the Zebris ReWalk® system combines treadmill-based therapy with adaptive visual cueing, virtual feedback training, optional stance and balance analysis, individual adaptability, automation of motion sequences, treatment documentation, and optional kinematic parameter and video documentation. It offers a comprehensive solution for gait rehabilitation and assists patients in improving their gait patterns, balance, and overall mobility.
